LAKEWOOD, NJ: The women's soccer team left Lakewood without it's first conference victory of the season Saturday afternoon, as they fell to the Georgian Court University Lions by a 4-0 margin.
The Lady Deacons played Georgian to a scoreless draw through the first 45 minutes of play, but the Lions responded when play opened for the second frame with three goals in a ten minute span in the half's early going.
Alexa Niro got the Lions on the board in the 49'th minute when she fired a shot past Bloomfield keeper
Adriana Moreno to put Georgian Court up 1-0. Kelly Lyons then followed with two goals of her own in a span of just over three minutes to put the game out of reach for the Lady Deacons at 3-0. Cyn-Dee Wong also netted a goal in the 78'th minute to ice the match at 4-0.
The Lady Deacons return to action Wednesday, October 28 for their final match of the season against Goldey-Beacom College. The opening whistle is set for 3:00 PM.
