Lady Deacons stumble at Nyack

BOX SCORE

NYACK, N.Y. (October 9, 2012) - The Bloomfield College women's soccer team fell to 2-8 overall and 1-7 in conference play Tuesday afternoon, as they dropped a 2-0 road decision to CACC rival Nyack College.

A pair of goals by Nyack's Cyan Jean-Baptiste came 70 seconds apart in the opening half, the first strike coming in the 22nd minute to put the Lady Deacons behind a goal.  The two-goal deficit would prove to be too much for Bloomfield to overcome, with the club left still in search of their second conference victory of the 2012 season.

Junior defender Mikie Bradley (Jackson, N.J.) and senior defender Shawna Reynolds (Lyndhurst, N.J.) each registered a shot on goal for the Lady Deacons in the loss, while junior keeper Sashagay Spence (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) totaled six saves in the setback.

Bloomfield returns to action Saturday, October 13 when they travel to take on CACC foe Georgian Court University in a conference road contest.  Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
