BEARS BLANKED AT HOME 6-0 BY CACC RIVAL COUGARS

3471BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - Sophomore goalie Diana Vincentini (Lacey TWP, N.J.) made five saves on the night, but the Bloomfield College women's soccer team fell to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival Caldwell University, 6-0, Tuesday night at Foley Field. With the loss, Bloomfield drops to 1-10-0 overall and 1-6-0 in the CACC for the 2014 season, while the Cougars improve to 5-4-2 with a 4-1-1 mark in conference play.  

Jessica Garretson scored Caldwell's first two goals of the game and her first two goals of the season to put the Cougars in charge by the 21st minute of play. Emily Boehler would find the back of the net off a penalty kick in the 33rd minute and Caldwell cruised to the break with a 3-0 advantage. The Cougars matched their first half scoring output in the second, posting 3 more goals and securing the 6-0 shutout over the Bears.

Bloomfield will look to regroup on Saturday, October 11, when they hit the Turnpike South to visit the Wildcats of Wilmington College. The game is set to go at 12:00 pm and Wilmington women's soccer has designated the day their Breast Cancer Awareness day.
