Deacons hold off Wilmington, top Wildcats 57-55

WILMINGTON, De. (December 10, 2011) - Three players reached double-figures in scoring in a tightly-contested defensive battle Saturday afternoon, as Bloomfield's men's basketball team improved to 6-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play with a 57-55 road victory over CACC South Division rival WIlmington University.

Senior forward Matt Wafula (Harlem, N.Y.) paced the Deacons with 16 points and 11 rebounds to notch a double-double, while sophomore big man Kevin Udo (West Orange, N.J.) tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and a pair of blocks in a solid performance.  Terry Hicks (Neptune, N.J.) notched 10 points in the victory, while Ahmad Harris (Linden, N.J.) registered seven points, four assists and a game-high three steals. 

Bloomfield returns to action Saturday, December 17 with a road contest against non-conference opponent Adelphi University in the team's first leg of the Adelphi Tournament.  Tip-off for the contest is set for 3:00 PM.
