BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The men's basketball team fell to 21-7 overall and 15-3 in conference play Tuesday night, as they dropped a 92-86 overtime road decision to CACC North Division rival Concordia College to snap the Deacons' seven-game winning streak. Senior point guard
Ahmad Harris (Linden, N.J.) continued his brilliant senior campaign with 11 points, 11 rebounds and a game-high eight assists, setting the CACC single-season assists record with 197 on the year.
Bloomfield was able to control the pace in the opening half, leading by as many as 11 points during the first 20 minutes of play. The Deacons would shoot an even 50% from the field in the first period, connecting on 33% of their long-range attempts and setting a frenzied pace en route to a 40-33 lead at the break.
Concordia would prove able to match the Deacons stride-for-stride, turning in a stellar shooting performance of their own over the final 20 minutes of action. The Clippers would match Bloomfield's first-half performance by shooting 50% from the field in the second half, clawing their way back into the contest to trail by just five points with 1:27 to play. Concordia would close the half with five straight points to tie the game, capped by a layup by Argelix Gil with nine seconds remaining to send the game to overtime.
The frenetic pace would continue in the extra period, with both teams reaching double-figures in scoring during the overtime. But in the end, it would be Concordia who would keep the momentum, as Bloomfield could not quite keep pace with the home team during the five-minute frame. An 8-2 Concordia run would to open the overtime would prove to be the difference, handing the Deacons a tough loss to close their regular season.

Matt Wafula (Harlem, N.Y.) continued his streak of standout play with a team-high 23 points, while sophomore guard
Terry Hicks (Neptune, N.J.) went 4-9 from beyond the arc and 8-16 overall to finish with 21 points in the loss. Sophomore forward
Kevin Udo (West Orange, N.J.) posted one of his finest performances of the season, notching a double-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks to round out the double-figure scorers.
Bloomfield will return to action Saturday, February 25 when they host the opening round of the CACC Tournament. Tip-off for the contest has not been set.
